Two cases of human copper deficiency following total parenteral nutrition are reported. The clinical, biochemical, and roentgenographic features of the syndrome are discussed and the histologic changes in bone are reviewed. Replacement therapy with copper sulfate rapidly corrects the diverse spectrum of abnormalities in this nutritional disorder.
