Abstract

With the purpose of investigating the effect of cervical headgear on the cant of the occlusal plane; 7 males and 13 females as the experimental group, 7 males and 13 females as the control group summing up to a total of 40 individuals were included in this study. The experimental group was composed of 20 subjects whose cronological age mean was 9 years 11 months and 13 had skeletal class 1 structures where the remaining 7 had skeletal 2 structures and all had clinically diagnosed as Angle Class II, 1 malocclusion cases while the lack of space in the upper arch was lower than 6 mm. In order to be able to identified the difference which might occur by growth and development, a control group of 20 subjects of which 13 had skeletal class 1, the remaining 7 had skeletal class 2 structures, was included in the study. Cervical Headgear which the outher bows ended at the projection of the distal points of the upper first permanent molars were bent parallel to the occlusal plane was applied to the experimental group. Extraoral force of 600 gr. was applied for 16 hours per day. A total of 80 cephalometric radiographs of all subjects included in this study were taken before and after the research period. The SN/Occ. plane angle which indicates the cant of occlusal plane was traced on the cephalometric radiographs. The cephalometric radiographs taken before and after the research period were locally registered for both maxilla and mandibula separately.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)

为了研究颈带对头合平面倾斜度的影响;本研究纳入了7名男性和13名女性作为实验组,7名男性和13名女性作为对照组,共计40人。实验组由20名受试者组成,其平均年龄为9岁11个月,其中13人具有骨骼I类结构,其余7人具有骨骼II类结构,所有患者临床诊断均为安氏II类1分类错牙合病例,上颌牙弓间隙不足小于6mm。为了能够识别生长发育可能产生的差异,研究纳入了一个由20名受试者组成的对照组,其中13人具有骨骼I类结构,其余7人具有骨骼II类结构。将外弓末端止于上颌第一恒磨牙远中尖投影处且平行于合平面弯曲的颈带应用于实验组。每天施加600克的口外力,持续16小时。在研究前后,为本研究中纳入的所有受试者共拍摄了80张头颅侧位片。在头颅侧位片上描绘出表示合平面倾斜度的SN/合平面角。分别对上颌骨和下颌骨在研究前后拍摄的头颅侧位片进行局部配准。(摘要截断于250字)
