["Long face" and orthodontic surgery].

The authors suggest a taxonomy and a specific terminology for vertical maxillo/mandibular excess dysmorphies, "Long face" or "High face". They distinguish three anomalies which may, separate or in association, cause an increased vertical dimension of face; a. Hypsomaxillia, b. Hypsogenia, c. Hypsostomy. In this paper a case of "Long face" and its surgical treatment will be presented.
