Mast cells are the normal components of the connective tissues. They are found in different densities and different regions of the inflamed and healthy gingival tissues. The role of mast cell mediators in periodontal disease progression were not studied in detail. Since the roles of mast cells in periodontal tissues are not clear, this study aimed to count the number of mast cells in gingival tissues of healthy volunteers and patients with gingival inflammation. Numbers of mast cells were found increased on inflamed tissues comparing to healthy tissues. This increase is closely related with the degree of inflammation on the fields which counting made on.
肥大细胞是结缔组织的正常组成部分。它们存在于炎症牙龈组织和健康牙龈组织的不同密度和不同区域。肥大细胞介质在牙周疾病进展中的作用尚未得到详细研究。由于肥大细胞在牙周组织中的作用尚不清楚，本研究旨在对健康志愿者和牙龈炎症患者牙龈组织中的肥大细胞数量进行计数。与健康组织相比，发炎组织中的肥大细胞数量增加。这种增加与计数区域的炎症程度密切相关。
