Identifying DNA variations associated with important agronomic traits is a major focus for plant biologists today. Modern crop breeders use molecular markers widely as tools for selecting new varieties more rapidly and efficiently. High-Resolution Melting (HRM) is frequently selected as the method of choice to rapidly and cost effectively detect and genotype SNPs. These SNPs can be used for gene mapping studies and routinely by breeders.
