Slow coronary flow (SCF) phenomenon is described as the delayed opacification of the distal vasculature and angiographically normal coronary arteries. Considerable studies have suggested that the interval from the peak to the end of the electrocardiographic T wave (Tpe) may correspond to the transmural dispersion of repolarization and that increased Tpe interval and Tpe/QT ratio are associated with malignant ventricular arrhythmias. In this study, we intended to evaluate ventricular repolarization in patients with SCF by using the Tpe interval and Tpe/QT ratio.
The study population included 33 patients with angiographically proven SCF and 33 control patients with angiographically proven normal coronary arteries without associated SCF. Coronary flow rates of patients and the control group were documented by TIMI (Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction) frame count. From the electrocardiograms, Tpe interval and Tpe/QT ratio were calculated and compared between groups.
No statistically significant difference was found between the two groups in terms of basic characteristics. Mean Tpe interval, Tpe/QT ratio, and Tpe/QTc ratio were prolonged in the study group compared to the control group (p<0.001).
Tpe interval and Tpe/QT ratio were increased in SCF patients.
冠状动脉血流缓慢(SCF)现象被描述为远端血管造影延迟显影且冠状动脉造影正常。大量研究表明,心电图T波顶峰至终点的间期(Tpe)可能与复极的跨壁离散度相对应,且Tpe间期和Tpe/QT比值增加与恶性室性心律失常相关。在本研究中,我们旨在通过使用Tpe间期和Tpe/QT比值来评估SCF患者的心室复极情况。
研究人群包括33例经冠状动脉造影证实为SCF的患者和33例经冠状动脉造影证实冠状动脉正常且无相关SCF的对照患者。通过心肌梗死溶栓治疗(TIMI)帧数记录患者和对照组的冠状动脉血流速度。从心电图中计算Tpe间期和Tpe/QT比值,并在两组之间进行比较。
两组在基本特征方面未发现统计学上的显著差异。与对照组相比,研究组的平均Tpe间期、Tpe/QT比值和Tpe/QTc比值延长(p<0.001)。
SCF患者的Tpe间期和Tpe/QT比值增加。
