"Nonfunctioning" tumors of the endocrine pancreas usually appear at a late stage with abdominal mass or jaundice. We describe two patients with nonfunctioning islet cell tumors who had the rare complication of massive hemorrhage. In each case, the hemorrhage was successfully controlled by an operation.
