Following cataract extraction 179 patients were examined with a slit-lamp using focal and specular illumination. 163 of them had received an intraocular lens (IOL). The cells (granulocytes) and flare-up in the anterior chamber decreased during the first postoperative days, while the cellular growth on the IOLs (macrophages) did not decrease in the same period. No correlations could be found between the cells, the flare-up in the anterior chamber, and the cellular growth on the IOLs. All three seem to be independent inflammatory reactions that occur following cataract extraction.
白内障摘除术后,对179例患者使用裂隙灯进行焦点照明和镜面反射照明检查。其中163例患者植入了人工晶状体(IOL)。术后头几天,前房内的细胞(粒细胞)和闪光现象减少,而人工晶状体上的细胞生长(巨噬细胞)在同一时期并未减少。在前房内的细胞、闪光现象与人工晶状体上的细胞生长之间未发现相关性。这三者似乎都是白内障摘除术后发生的独立炎症反应。
