BACKGROUND
Hemangiomas are one of the common primary benign tumors of the intraosseous and soft tissue compartments in humans. Vertebral hemangiomas being the most common of all are seen in daily radiological practice. Hemangioma of the rib is rarely seen.
CASE REPORT
We reported on a case of a rib lesion which had a classic imaging pattern of hemangioma. We highlighted the use of pre-operative embolization of such a vascular rib lesion before surgically removing the lesion by thoracotomy to reduce the risk of bleeding.
CONCLUSIONS
We also emphasized overt complications of overzealous needling of such a vascular lesion for histopathological diagnosis as in our case.
背景
血管瘤是人类骨内和软组织区域常见的原发性良性肿瘤之一。椎体血管瘤是其中最常见的，在日常放射学实践中较为常见。肋骨血管瘤则较为罕见。
病例报告
我们报告了一例肋骨病变，其具有典型的血管瘤影像学表现。我们强调了在通过开胸手术切除此类血管性肋骨病变之前，进行术前栓塞以降低出血风险的应用。
结论
我们还强调了在我们的病例中，为进行组织病理学诊断而对这种血管性病变过度穿刺所带来的明显并发症。
