The population of Chlorella cells flown as a component of the algobacterial cenosis--fish system on Cosmos-1887 was investigated. During the flight experiment over two generations of Chlorella cells were obtained. No differences in the algal growth rate in flight and on the ground were observed. On the whole, space flight did not affect the growth, development or population characteristics of Chlorella algae incorporated into the closed algobacterial cenosis-fish system.
