INTRODUCTION
Postoperative pneumocephalus is an unexpected condition after endoscopic odontoidectomy surgery.
CASE
We present the first case of pneumocephalus after odontoidectomy in a pediatric patient. The clinical presentation, radiological findings, and surgical procedures are described with related pathophysiology.
CONCLUSION
We outline the key for management of a rare intracranial air entrapment case after an endoscopic odontoidectomy surgery in a pediatric patient and the measures taken to prevent its occurrence in the future.

术后气颅是齿状突切除术手术后出现的一种意外情况。
病例
我们报告了首例小儿患者齿状突切除术后发生气颅的病例。描述了临床表现、影像学检查结果、手术过程及相关病理生理学情况。
结论
我们概述了小儿患者内镜下齿状突切除术后罕见的颅内积气病例的处理要点以及为防止其未来发生所采取的措施。
