Abstract

The diagnostic lumbar puncture is an important diagnostic tool in various neurological diseases, such as inflammatory processes of the central nervous system. Considering relevant contraindications and performed in a standardised manner, the lumbar puncture can be regarded as a safe procedure with few side effects. The additional diagnostic yield is also of relevance in numerous non-neurological conditions.

诊断性腰椎穿刺是各种神经系统疾病（如中枢神经系统炎症性疾病）的重要诊断工具。考虑到相关禁忌症并以标准化方式进行操作，腰椎穿刺可被视为一种副作用较少的安全操作。在众多非神经系统疾病中，其额外的诊断价值也具有重要意义。
