[An ultrastructural stereological analysis of the cardiomyocytes in a hibernating rodent (the red-cheeked suslik Citellus erythrogenys, Brandt)].

The quantitative morphological study of cardiomyocytes in heterothermic animals (red-cheeked susliks Citellus erythrogenys Br.) was quantitatively morphologically studied. The features of spatial ultrastructural cardiomyocyte reorganization in hibernating susliks were shown to manifest in pronounced increase of volume and surface densities of sarcoplasmic reticulum and relative volume of lipid droplets.
