The increasing number of depressions, especially in old patients, is alarming. Partly these depressions, however, are avoidable since they are of iatrogenic origin. By the example of hormones, antihypertensives, antihistaminics, antirheumatics and even the psychotropic drugs themselves the attention of physicians shall be called to substances which are a potential danger of depression.
抑郁症患者数量不断增加，尤其是老年患者，这令人担忧。然而，部分此类抑郁症是可以避免的，因为它们源于医源性因素。通过以激素、抗高血压药、抗组胺药、抗风湿药乃至精神药物本身为例，应提醒医生注意那些可能引发抑郁症的物质。
