In this study, the complete mitogenome sequence of the Symphysodon haraldi (Schultz, 1960) has been sequenced by next-generation sequencing method. The mitogenome consists of 16 543 bp, including 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNAs and 2 ribosomal RNAs genes. The overall base composition of the fish is 28.8% for A, 30.1% for C, 15.0% for G, and 26.1% for T, suggesting a 97% identity to S. discus Heckel. It provides essential and important DNA molecular data for further phylogeography and evolutionary analysis for Symphysodon phylogeny.
在本研究中，通过下一代测序方法对哈氏盘丽鱼（Symphysodon haraldi，舒尔茨，1960年）的完整线粒体基因组序列进行了测序。该线粒体基因组由16543个碱基对组成，包括13个蛋白质编码基因、22个转运RNA基因和2个核糖体RNA基因。这种鱼的总体碱基组成为：腺嘌呤（A）占28.8%，胞嘧啶（C）占30.1%，鸟嘌呤（G）占15.0%，胸腺嘧啶（T）占26.1%，表明与盘丽鱼（S. discus Heckel）有97%的同一性。它为盘丽鱼属系统发育的进一步系统地理学和进化分析提供了重要的DNA分子数据。
