The sex pheromone gland of Asura conferta (Walker) lies in the body cavity, as an invagination of the dorsal intersegmental membrane between the 8th and 9th abdominal segment. It is not reversible and liquid droplets ooze out while the female is "signalling". Male insects are attracted by these drops of liquid secreted by the female moth.
