A method for the protection of the nasal muco-periosteum in DCR is presented. In five of the twenty-seven cases, minor perforations of the nasal mucosa caused no interference in cutting of the nasal flaps. In one case, due to an anomalous ethmoid cell, this method was of no advantage.
