In this article a review of literature and clinical review of alternobaric vertigo is presented. The population of patients discharged from the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine with a diagnosis of alternobaric vertigo from 1 January 1970 to 31 December 1986 is described. The common characteristics of the seven cases are presented. Recommendations and considerations for the future are discussed.
