Abstract

The promotion of the wax anatomical model by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) is described. Various passages out of his late novel "Wilhelm Meisters Travels or the Renunciants" and written in a personal letter dated the 4th February 1832 are cited to prove his concern.
