Recent techniques of interventional radiology for alimentary tract are introduced. Techniques and equipments developed by vascular intervention are very useful for management of alimentary disorders, such as stenosis, obstruction and intestinal alimentation in case received complicated upper gastrointestinal operation. Percutaneous gastrojejunostomy is easy for trained radiologists and release patients from unpleasant trans nasal tube. Balloon dilatation for alimentary stenosis is one of the established methods, but new equipment--expandable metallic stent is suspected to be another hopeful equipment. Advances of interventional radiology will make great contribute to treatment and management of patients with alimentary disorder.
