Abstract
Extracorporeal irradiation of the blood (ECIB) is a valuable addition to the treatment of chronic lymphatic leukemia (CLL). Possibly the prognosis of chronic lymphatic leukemia can be significantly influenced by early treatment. In acute leukemia the increase of bone marrow proliferation can be useful in cases resistent to chemotherapy. Side effects of ECIB have not been observed.
