- This review describes the role of vascular endothelium in the response induced by different vasoactive agents. 2. The interaction between endothelium, vascular smooth muscle and platelets is discussed. 3. The hormone control as well as physicochemical alterations that interfere with some endothelium-dependent vascular responses are described.
