[The surgical approach and results of implantation of the Czech cochlear neuroprosthesis].

For the implantation of the Czech single-channel extracochlear neuroprosthesis a special surgical procedure was elaborated. The implantation was performed in four adult, postlingually deaf subjects. In one patient a successful reimplantation was performed. The authors evaluate the ability of the patients with implants to differentiate changes of simple stimulating signals.
