The RCN's new strategy for nursing older people was launched by RCN general secretary Beverly Malone at last month's congress. Developed by members and staff, the strategy is the result of extensive consultation with both internal and external stakeholders and the RCN says it reflects the central principles of best practice, from the pers pective of both older people and nurses. Supported by an educational grant from Pfizer, the strategy, previewed in the May issue of Nursing Older People, will provide a framework for RCN activity and provide a focus for RCN activists' work.
