Hypospadias occurs in one out of 300 boys and is the most common congenital deformity of the male urethra. A modified Ombrédanne operation of urethral reconstruction, the so-called Groningen method, was employed in 21 patients. A good functional result with a virtually normal aspect of the external genitalia could be obtained in 17 patients. The Groningen method for correction of hypospadias is a relatively simple operation which can be used for the peripheral types of hypospadias (about 85% of cases). Referral and treatment at a young age is important for their psychologic development.
尿道下裂在每300名男童中就有1例发生，是男性尿道最常见的先天性畸形。21例患者采用了改良的翁布雷丹尿道重建手术，即所谓的格罗宁根方法。17例患者获得了功能良好且外生殖器外观基本正常的效果。格罗宁根法矫正尿道下裂是一种相对简单的手术，可用于周边型尿道下裂（约占病例的85%）。在患儿年幼时进行转诊和治疗对其心理发育很重要。
