We describe a patient with acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) and disseminated histoplasmosis. He presented with a mild inflammatory dermatitis that improved with topical steroid treatment but was proven to be cutaneous histoplasmosis. The clinical presentations, diagnosis, histopathologic basis, and treatment of disseminated Histoplasma capsulatum in patients with AIDS are discussed.
