Abstract
OBJECTIVE
To evaluate the effects of rapid maxillary expansion (RME) on vocal function in patients with bilateral maxillary crossbite.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
We designed our research as a prospective, controlled, clinical study. The treatment group and the control group each had 20 subjects for a total of 40 subjects. Acoustic voice samples were recorded from all patients at T and T by the Multi-Dimensional Voice Program (MDVP Model 5105) for acoustic analysis in Computerized Speech Lab (CSL).
RESULTS
No statistically significant differences were found between the treatment and control groups in the means of any parameters.
CONCLUSIONS
RME does not change vocal quality or resonance, so it can be safely used with patients.

目的
评估快速上颌扩弓（RME）对双侧上颌反牙合患者嗓音功能的影响。
材料与方法
我们将研究设计为一项前瞻性、对照性临床研究。治疗组和对照组各有20名受试者，共40名受试者。在T1和T2时，通过多维度嗓音程序（MDVP Model 5105）从所有患者中采集声学嗓音样本，以便在计算机语音实验室（CSL）中进行声学分析。
结果
治疗组和对照组在任何参数的均值上均未发现统计学上的显著差异。
结论
快速上颌扩弓不会改变嗓音质量或共鸣，因此可以安全地用于患者。
