The article describes the changes in gingival capillary circulation which reflect functional state of mucosa forming the prosthetic bed. Investigations were performed before and after different terms of wearing removable plate dentures, i.e. in the adaptation period. The results suggest that adaptation to removable dentures with porcelain teeth runs faster than in the cases of plastic teeth. As soon as after 3 months capillary circulation restores to its initial level.
