Abstract
197 Hg Cl2 (mercuric dichloride) was used in the diagnosis of 30 cases of epidermoid carcinoma of the head and the neck, and in 5 cases of benign tumours and non-neoplastic lesions. The results show that radioisotope scanning is not a certain method of diagnosis but that it affords supplementary information essential to correct therapy.
