THE AIM of this book is to give non-Muslim healthcare workers a greater understanding of the religion, customs and world view of Islam to facilitate culturally sensitive care. This is laudable, given the present lack of literature that addresses these issues practically and understandably, but the book succeeds in its aim only partially.
