[Psychoanalytically oriented therapy procedures in pain].

Psychodynamic approaches stress the relevance of family and social factors in childhood for pain proneness in adults. A psychodynamic nosology of psychogenic and psychosomatic pain syndromes is outlined. Starting points of different therapeutic approaches are presented. A review of therapy studies and their results is given. Two case studies illustrate the process of two different psychoanalytically oriented therapies (inpatient therapy, outpatient group therapy).
