[Experience with computer-assisted documentation at the casualty ward of the surgery clinic in the Suhl district hospital].

The growing trend to casualty surgery has underlined the need for regular monitoring of surgical practice. Up-to-date documentation is imperative and should as well cover major quality criteria. A computer-assisted documentation system was tested at the Meiningen and Suhl hospitals and is described in some detail.
