Recurrent dislocation of the elbow is uncommon compared to other recurrent dislocations. The most frequent etiology consists in lesions of the radial collateral ligament that cause instability of the elbow joint. Surgical repair using the Osborne and Cotterill technique seems to give the best results, both short and long term.
