23 cases of multiple sclerosis of the spinal type are reported, including 11 males and 12 females. Their ages ranged from 11 to 66 years The onset of this type of the disease was usually acute or subacute. Remissions and relapses were observed in 16 cases of them, having 2 to 4 times in a period of 1 month up to 6 years. The clinical feature was mainly the involvement of the spinal cord. It affected the cervical and thoracic spinal cord in 12 cases, the thoracic in 6 cases, and the lumbar in 1 case. The lesions appeared to be diffuse in 4 cases, corticosteroid therapy was used in all these cases with marked improvement in 82.6% of them.
