Exostosis of the rib is uncommon, especially in the prime of manhood. A 51-year-old man came to our hospital with coin lesion in his left apical region, revealed on routine chest X-ray film. Thoracotomy was done to remove the tumor and the histological diagnosis was exostosis. The tumor, 18 by 18 mm in size, was based on the first rib and grew into the thoracic cavity.
肋骨外生骨疣并不常见，尤其在青壮年时期。一名51岁男性因常规胸部X光片显示左肺尖部有硬币大小的病变而前来我院就诊。行开胸手术切除肿瘤，组织学诊断为外生骨疣。肿瘤大小为18×18毫米，附着于第一肋骨并向胸腔内生长。
