[Computed tomography in selecting the method of surgical treatment in bullous disease of the lungs].

Experience in the examination of 23 patients with polycystic disease of the lungs by means of computed tomography is generalized. A comparative analysis of the X-ray method of examination and computed tomography is made. The high accuracy of computed tomography in the diagnosis of the disease is demonstrated, particularly in detecting small cysts which are not demonstrated by X-ray and in the differential diagnosis of giant bullae with spontaneous pneumothorax.
