[Methods for the isolation of glycosaminoglycans from blood serum and the photometric analysis of their building stones].

Description of methods for isolating the blood serum glycosaminoglycans by DEAE ion-exchange chromatography and trichloracetic acid precipitation and for the photometrical determination of their components (hexosamines, hexuronic acid, neuraminic acid). The results indicate mainly chondroitin sulfate bound to proteins and glycoproteins respectively. Moreover there exist some glycosaminoglycans, which are not precipitated by trichloracetic acid.
