A case of mesothelioma with a rare localisation (the mesentery root with growth around the small bowel and the destruction of the upper mesenteric artery) is described. Necrosis of the small bowel occurred after the operation with the subsequent peritonitis which resulted in death. Histologically, the tumor was an epithelioid variant of mesothelioma of the tubulopapillary structure.
