Abstract
Presents an obituary for Irving Isadore Gottesman who passed away on June 29, 2016, at his home in Edina, Minnesota. Gottesman was a gifted writer and clnician who will be best remembered as a courageous psychologist who "swam against the current" and researched genetic influence on human behavior, especially psychopathology, at a time when it was considered heresy.
