[Prophylactic brain irradiation in small cell bronchial carcinomas].

Prophylactic cerebral irradiation reduces significantly the occurrence of cerebral metastases, but its modalities need to be defined. Late neurological sequelae have been reported. Prospective trials are required in order to define its exact value.
