OBJECTIVE
To present a case of Huntington's disease (HD) with severe neck infection.
BACKGROUND
Huntington's disease (HD) is a progressive neurodegenerative genetic disorder and is often accompanied by dysphagia.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
The patient was a 64-year-old man with HD. The severe neck infection was considered as one of the symptoms of HD.
CONCLUSION
Clinicians should remember that patients with HD are apt to delay dental consultation, resulting in serious oral infections.
目的
介绍一例患有严重颈部感染的亨廷顿舞蹈症（HD）病例。
背景
亨廷顿舞蹈症（HD）是一种进行性神经退行性遗传疾病，常伴有吞咽困难。
材料与方法
该患者为一名64岁患有HD的男性。严重的颈部感染被认为是HD的症状之一。
结论
临床医生应记住，HD患者容易延迟牙科咨询，从而导致严重的口腔感染。
