The terms 'dementia' and 'demented' are frequently used to refer to people with neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease. Based on the cross-analysis of some observational data (historical, linguistic, legal and medical), it is possible to highlight the risks and the issues related to the terminological choices for patients and health professionals.
“痴呆”和“患痴呆症的”这两个术语经常用于指患有神经退行性疾病（如阿尔茨海默病）的人。基于对一些观察性数据（历史、语言、法律和医学方面）的交叉分析，有可能突出与患者和卫生专业人员术语选择相关的风险和问题。
