This large-scale retrospective analysis ( = 60,551) of the Premier inpatient database (1 January 2011 to 31 December 2014) found an overall prevalence of carbapenem-resistant strains of 2.3% (range, 0.9% to 5.8% by geographic region) among patients with infections due to Ongoing monitoring and development of decision support tools/algorithms are needed for identification of high-risk patients.
