A follow-up of 51 patients after lysis or fracture of the distal tibia epiphysis showed that growth disturbance independant of the type of injury can occur (6 patients after Aitken-I and 1 patient following Aitken-III injury). The dislocation seems to be a good sign concerning the disturbance of blood supply. All 7 patients with growth disturbance showed a severe dislocation.
