The selective hydrolysis of the glycosidic bond between the terminal sialic acid and the penultimate sugar has been achieved in the alpha-2-HS-glycoprotein (Fetuin-A) in the presence of HPWO, a Keggin type polyoxometalate. A controlled liberation of sialic acid from the glycoprotein could be achieved at pH 3.0 and 37 °C without the destruction of the protein backbone.
在Keggin型多金属氧酸盐HPWO存在的情况下,已实现了α-2-HS-糖蛋白(胎球蛋白-A)中末端唾液酸与倒数第二个糖之间糖苷键的选择性水解。在pH 3.0和37°C条件下,可以从糖蛋白中可控地释放唾液酸,而不会破坏蛋白质主链。
