Abstract
- Concentrations of potassium and iron were measured in blood samples of 15 zoo-living Barbary sheep by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. 2. In analogy with the situation in Ovis it is suggested that a blood potassium polymorphism is also found in Ammotragus. 3. However, in the Frankfurt line at least, one of the presumed alleles is likely to be lost due to inbreeding.
