The experiments on CBA mice and rabbits have shown that vitamin A injection to animals at a daily dose of 3000 and 200000 IU, respectively, stimulates the production of antibody-forming cells and antibodies upon immunization with sheep red blood cells, without affecting the immune response to Vi-antigen. Vitamin A blocks the generation of antigen-specific suppressors, having no effect on concanavalin A-induced suppressors.
