Histological examination of the placental membranes of 3 of 4 infants with gastroschisis revealed peculiar vacuolar change of the cytoplasm of the amniotic epithelial cells. No storage material was demonstrated by special stains or electron microscopic study. This vacuolar change is different from other amniotic cell abnormalities, such as those related to meconium staining.
对4例腹裂婴儿中的3例胎盘胎膜进行组织学检查，发现羊膜上皮细胞的细胞质有特殊的空泡样改变。特殊染色或电子显微镜检查均未发现储存物质。这种空泡样改变不同于其他羊膜细胞异常，如与胎粪污染相关的异常。
