3D printing is a kind of technology that makes 3D models from computer-aided designs through additive manufacturing, in which successive layers of the material are deposited onto underlying layers to construct 3D objects. In recent years, 3D printing is gradually applied in the field of ophthalmology, such as the cornea, retina, orbital operation, ocular tumor radiotherapy, ocular implants and ophthalmology teaching. This article reviews the application status of 3D printing technology in the basic research and clinical treatment in ophthalmology. .
