Abstract

56 stroke patients were investigated with the new non-invasive method of transcranial Doppler sonography (TCD), operating with a range-gated pulsed 2 MHz Doppler. In 28.6% of the 56 patients TCD provided additional information about the status of the basal cerebral arteries. The results of the TCD investigation were confirmed by angiography in 14 patients. This result indicates that TCD is a valuable non-invasive method of high accuracy for the detection of intracranial brain artery diseases and collateral flow mechanisms.

摘要

采用新型经颅多普勒超声检查(TCD)这一非侵入性方法,利用距离选通脉冲2兆赫多普勒对56例中风患者进行了研究。在这56例患者中,28.6%的患者通过TCD获得了有关大脑基底动脉状况的额外信息。14例患者的TCD检查结果经血管造影得以证实。这一结果表明,TCD是一种用于检测颅内脑动脉疾病和侧支血流机制的高精度、有价值的非侵入性方法。
